Water & Power Technologies Opens New Mobile Deionization Processing Facility in Pasadena, Texas

On September 29th, Water & Power Technologies, Inc. (a Degremont Technologies subsidiary) proudly inaugurated their new Mobile Deionization Processing Facility in Pasadena, Texas, USA. More than 75 guests, including Degremont Technologies CEO François Bernès and Anderson-WPT CEO, Jim Laraway were on hand for the Grand Opening Ceremony. The new facility includes 18,000 square feet devoted to ion exchange resin regeneration and processing for trailer mounted mobile deionization and large vessel deionization.

Under the direction of Richard Oberholtzer, the facility will serve the Gulf Coast region and is strategically located in Pasadena, Texas. WPT will service the deionized water purification needs for all industries in the region, whether the needs are temporary or long term. The new facility utilizes a new innovative trailer design to focus on quick response and improved availability for customers in the region. The deionization trailers from the facility have high capacities and flow rates up to 500 gallons per minute, with a capacity of 5,000,000 grain.

The design of the new resin regeneration and processing plant has resulted in an environmentally conscious facility that uses chemicals, water, and power efficiently and effectively. The facility includes provisions to minimize the impact to operations and improve the ability to serve customers under normal conditions or during severe weather, and handle any long-term aftermath needs that may impair other facilities.
