Nantong City (China) selects Aquasource’s ALTEON™ Ultrafiltration membranes for a new drinking water treatment plant.
Nantong City (China) selects ALTEON™, the latest hydrophilic polysulfone membrane developed by Degrémont Technologies — Aquasource, for its new drinking water treatment plant.
Nantong city, located in the Jiangsu province in the north of Shanghai, will equip its surface water treatment plant with the state-of-the-art ALTEON™ Ultrafiltration membranes confirming its commitment to combine innovations and environmental protection.
The plant will operate a drinking water production capacity of 10 000m3/day. It will be designed and executed in partnership with the Wuxi Municipal Design Institute and the local Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) SPE (Purification Equipment).
Equipped with Degrémont Technologies—Aquasource ultrafiltration modules, with a filtration surface of 93m², the plant will be able to treat settled water from the Yangtze River. The ALTEON™ hydrophilic polysulfone modules offer, as of today, the largest surface of filtration available on the market worldwide.
Degrémont Technologies-Aquasource has been selected based on its new Ultrafiltration offer “RACK ALTEON” dedicated to large plants and enabling OEM partners to benefit from an easy, secured and optimal integration of the new technology into the water treatment line. This product comes together with supporting tools for the design and the Rack Conception as well as a technical training program.
The Nantong City project follows another recent contract awarded for an ultrafiltration process-water treatment in Morocco, confirming the high-performance of the ALTEON™ membrane and the large development potential of Degrémont Technologies-Aquasource OEM offer on the international market.
